As a result of the Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern Railway merger announced in March 2021, just over half the freight revenue for the new Canadian Pacific Kansas City rail company is projected to come from Canada. Comparatively, none of Kansas City Southern's 2020 freight revenue streams were attributed to this country.
