As of May 2022, 30.8 million transactions through mobile banking were registered in Angola, a slight increase compared to the previous month. During the period in review, mobile banking usage has overall grown in the country. In June 2020, some 13.5 million bank operations were done with a mobile device in Angola. The transactions were conducted with the app Multicaixa Express, launched in 2019. After associating one or more debit cards in the app, the user can execute online payments, purchases, and transfers.
