Leading regions for spring staycations in the UK 2023
The term 'staycation' is typically used to refer to a holiday spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions. A May 2023 survey revealed that the South West was the leading region for upcoming domestic overnight trips during spring in the United Kingdom, with 20 percent of respondents stating that this was the case. Meanwhile, nine percent of respondents said that they intended to visit Scotland during their autumn holiday, while only three percent stated that they would like to visit Northern Ireland.
