Latin America: cross-border investment in wind energy 2009-2019
Between 2009 and 2019, the evolution of foreign investments in wind energy in Latin America was subject to fluctuations. By the end of the period, in 2019, foreign investments across the region reached their highest at 6.49 billion U.S. dollars, which represented an increase of almost 131 percent compared to 2018. Brazil was the largest recipient of investments in the region in 2019, with about 45 percent of the total value of investment agreements.
