
Preferences for home office after pandemic in Canada 2021, by hourly wage
As of 2021, teleworkers earning at least about 46 Canadian dollars per hour represented the majority of employees who preferred to work most of their hours outside of home once the pandemic is over. Specifically, some 21 percent of teleworkers from this wage tier stated this. On the contrary, workers with a wage below 32 Canadian dollars per hour made up the highest share of employees who wished to work remotely also after the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite some differences among the various wage tiers, no large disparities could be observed in the preferences of work environment.
