In France, the grocery retail market of private-labelled products underwent a general negative trend in 2021. Compared to 2020, low- or first-price products, belonging to a lower price range, feature the highest negative performance: their market value decreased by 7.8 percent. Standard products reported a 2.4 percent decrease, while organic groceries sold under store brands reported a 2.3 percent decrease. Premium private labels decreased the least: their market value fell by 0.8 percent.
