Average spending share on goods and services by elderly in Spain 2022, by gender

In 2022, among elderly women, expenses related to housing, water, electricity and other fuels related to living at home represented over 44 percent of their total expenditure on goods and services in Spain. This share fell to 38.4 percent for men. The share of spending on transportation for male seniors was almost double that of their female counterparts.
