People in need of humanitarian assistance in Libya 2021
As of April 2021, over 912 thousand people were in need of humanitarian assistance in Libya. The majority of them were returnees, i.e. refugees returning from abroad, amounting to around 623 thousand. Moreover, internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the country exceeded 245 thousand, with Tripoli hosting the majority. The number of refugees and asylum-seekers was, instead, limited at around 43.3 thousand.
