Employment in industry in Tanzania 2000-2020
As of 2020, nearly seven percent of the employed population in Tanzania was involved with industrial activities. Although it was still small in comparison to other economic sectors, the share of employment in the industry has been increasing. For instance, in 2000, only 2.8 percent of the total employment was within industrial activities.
