School closures during COVID-19 pandemic in Libya 2021
According to a survey conducted in March 2021, the majority of schools in Libya were open or partially open during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This corresponded to 84 percent and 86 percent of the public and private schools, respectively. Because of the measures to limit the spread of the virus, some educational institutions in the country remained closed, representing an average of 15 percent of the total primary, secondary, and high schools. Most students, therefore, had access to in-person education.
