As of 2020, the total economic cost of violence in Ghana amounted to three percent of the country's GDP. Compared to the previous year, this represented a slight increase of one percentage point in violence-related economic damages. Moreover, in 2017, the economic cost of violence on Ghana's economy was equivalent to two percent of the country's GDP.
