Export value in El Salvador by main countries of destination 2021
Most of El Salvador's exports in 2021 were destined to fellow Central American countries, such as Nicaragua and Costa Rica, as well as the United States.
The largest value of merchandise exports from El Salvador was destined to the United States, with over 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. Guatemala was the second main destination of Salvadoran exports, at around 1.1 billion U.S. dollars, closely followed by Honduras with an export value of approximately 1 billion U.S. dollars.
Some of El Salvador's leading exported goods in 2021 were knitted apparel articles.
