Corporate debt in France as of 2021, by rating and type
As of the beginning of 2021, the majority of outstanding French corporate debt was of investment grade for both financial and non-financial corporations. Of the outstanding speculative grade, the vast majority was for non-financial corporations, amounting to 149 billion U.S. dollars. Investment grade debt is rated 'BBB' or higher, while speculative grade is debt is rated 'BB' or lower. The rating scale contains runs from AAA as the highest, down to C as the lowest.
