Reactions to restricted porn sites through age verification systems in France 2020

In case of forced age restrictions to porn, online porn lovers who represent 59 percent of the sample, would massively circumvent the legislation, even if it means changing their consumption habits. When asked to imagine their reactions if the law is passed, two-thirds of regular or occasional users of pornographic sites (64 percent ) said that they would go find a site that is not blocked or does not require a check of age. Many online porn lovers would technically bypass this block by using a VPN (41 percent). Likewise, a third of porn enthusiasts (31 percent) say they would use open DNS resolvers, abroad or even in France, to lift the blocking of access to their favorite porn sites.
