Electricity production from fossil fuels in Libya 2014-2019
In 2019, Libya produced roughly 39.5 thousand gigawatt-hours of electricity from fossil fuels. This represented a peak in the period examined. The lowest levels of production were registered in 2016 at approximately 36 thousand gigawatt-hours. As of 2019, fossil fuels accounted for most of the electrical power generation in the country.
