
Volume of Australian beef imports in Greater China FY 2020, by major cut
In financial year 2020, beef brisket and beef shank were among the most imported beef cuts to China from Australia, estimated at respectively 49 and 37 thousand metric tons. These two major cuts accounted for around one-fourth of China’s total beef import volume from Australia. Meanwhile, around 13 thousand tons of Australian beef ribs were imported to China. According to the source, 2020 saw an increase of roughly 100 thousand tons in Australian beef import volume in China compared to 2019.
