Angola's public external debt in 2021, by creditor type
Angola's public external debt increased to some 51 billion U.S. dollars in 2021. From the total, the largest amount (38.1 billion U.S. dollars) was owed to commercial banks and enterprises. Debt with bilateral and multilateral creditors summed up to 5.4 billion U.S. dollars and 7.6 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. Overall, Angola's total external debt equaled nearly 67 billion U.S. dollars in the same year.
