GDP growth rate from cocoa sector in Ghana 2014-2024

In 2021, the contribution from the cocoa sector to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Ghana was projected to experience a rise by 2.5 percent. In 2019, the growth rate was registered at 5.4 percent. Moreover, the cocoa sector’s contribution to the GDP was projected to grow by eight percent in 2024. Overall, 850 thousand metric tons of cocoa beans were produced in the country in the crop season 2020/2021.
