Across the countries where commercial 5G network is available, an average of 13 percent of subscribers owned a 5G-capable smartphone and 17 percent did not, though a global average of 30 percent intended to upgrade to a 5G subscription. These averages varied by country, and the existence of a 5G network did not show correlations. In countries that either did not yet have access to commercial 5G networks or where 5G was recently launched, the average of consumers with a 5G phone is 23 percent and those without is 20 percent.
