Libya: total employment by sector

The majority of the working population in Libya is employed in services. This sector attracted nearly 1.2 million employees in 2019. In comparison, only 483 thousand and 325 thousand people were employed in industry adn agriculture, respectively. The service sector accounted for nearly 60 percent of the total employment in the country in 2020.
