Total employment in Libya 2019, by occupation and gender
In 2019, the majority of the people employed in Libya had elementary occupations or were skilled agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers. Men with such occupation amounted to 434 thousand, against 291 thousand women. In general, the gender gap in employment was observed in all occupations. However, gender disparities were smaller among clerical support workers, as well as technicians and associate professionals.
