Copper mine production in Europe 2021, by country
With over 880 thousand metric tons produced, Russia was the leading country in Europe for copper mining in 2021. The market represented around 49 percent of the total European production. Russia dwarfed all other countries, including Poland, which came second in the ranking with an annual production of around 391.3 thousand metric tons. Most of the world's copper production is used in electrical equipment, especially wiring and motors.
