Import value of petroleum products to Japan FY 2018-2020

In the fiscal year 2020, the import value of petroleum products to Japan amounted to around 1.22 trillion Japanese yen. Figures decreased by about 22.2 percent compared to the previous fiscal year. Since Japan lacks domestic reserves of fossil fuels, it is highly dependent on imports.
