Beauty institutes: services used by the French after containment by salon type 2020

In June 2020, about three out of ten people in France had never visited a beauty salon in their life. Most of the people having the habit of going there did so several times a year (22 percent). After the first containment period (March 17 to May 11, 2020), nearly two-thirds of French people went to an independent hairdresser or barber (65 percent), compared to 21 percent who went to a franchise.
