Adyen revenue by region 2017-2023

Asia-Pacific continued to be Adyen's fast growing region, based on gross revenue the Dutch fintech company made in early 2023. That said, both Asia-Pacific and Latin America made up a small portion of the company's business. Adyen made nearly half of all its revenue in the first half of 2023 in EMEA - Europe, Middle East, Africa. Note that the Middle East and Africa were originally reported as "rest of the world", and made little to no revenue compared to all other regions in the world. It can therefore be expected that Europe takes up a vast sum of revenue within EMEA. Adyen's gross revenue was significantly lower in 2023 than before, but this is attributed to a change in accounting. The company's net revenue during the same timeframe increased by roughly 21 percent, although this was below what investors were hoping for.
