Power production breakdown in Mexico 2022, by source
Natural gas is by far the most prominent source for electricity production in Mexico. In 2022, it accounted for nearly 55 percent of the Latin American country's power output. This was followed by oil and other petroleum products, which made up 13.5 percent of total power production that year.
