Red meat import flows to Russia 2017-2022, by type
In aggregate terms, the import trade of presented red meat groups in Russia has been steadily decreasing over the period under consideration. In 2022, the imports of beef dropped significantly compared to the previous year, reaching about 2.5 million U.S. dollars. To compare, pork imports slightly increased in 2022, standing at 29.33 million U.S. dollars in the latest period observed. Imports of sheep and goat meat to the country have been consistently falling since 2018.
