Number of active oil rigs in Brazil 2012-2022
The number of active oil rigs in Brazil registered a mostly downward trend in recent years. In December 2022, there were 12 active oil rigs reported in the country, up from eight rigs the previous year. In comparison to 2012, this represented a decrease of nearly 83 percent in Brazil's active rig count.
