Morocco: fossil fuel related CO2 emissions 2020

In 2020, 62.8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) were emitted in Morocco. This was as a result of oil, gas, and coal consumed by combustion. Over the period examined, CO₂ emissions in the country increased steadily from 49.1 million metric tons in 2010 to the volume in 2020.

This does not allow for any carbon that is sequestered, for other sources of carbon emissions, or for emissions of other greenhouse gases. Our data is therefore not comparable to official national emissions data".
