If the United States were to implement a 50 billion U.S. dollar federal semiconductor manufacturing incentive program, the direct, indirect, and induced gross value added (GVA) would be approximately 147.7 billion U.S. dollars over the course of 2021 to 2026. Of this total expected GVA over the six-year period examined, the source estimates that the direct impact of a semiconductor incentive program would be 49 billion U.S. dollars.
