Export value of apparel from South Africa 2015-2019, by type
In 2019, an approximate value of 214 million U.S. dollars of knitted or crocheted apparel were exported from South Africa. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when nearly 233 million U.S. dollars of the products were exported. Not knitted or crocheted apparel reached an export value of 198.15 million U.S. dollars. Furthermore, Namibia was the main trade partner of South Africa in terms of non-knitted or crocheted apparel exports with a share of roughly 27 percent.
