New car registrations in France 2020, by type of motorization
In 2020, the number of cars newly registered in France strongly fluctuated, depending on the month. Despite the take-off in registrations of alternative-powered vehicles, petrol and diesel car registrations remained the majority in France in 2020. Over the same period, alternative motorization only represented 23 percent of all newly registered cars in France.
