In 2022, the return on equity (ROE) of Kakao Bank reached fell to 4.69 percent, down from 4.87 in the previous year. The return on equity of Kakao Bank, the leading digital bank in South Korea, initially grew rapidly after its launch in July 2017, but has been decline over the recent years.
