Export value of iron and steel from South Africa 2015-2019
In 2019, an approximate value of 5.36 billion U.S. dollars of iron and steel were exported from South Africa. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 6.28 billion U.S. dollars of the base metals were exported. Furthermore, China was one of the trade partners of South Africa in terms of iron and steel exports with a share of around 17.5 percent.
