Distribution of revenue from customs in Morocco 2019-2020, by source
In 2020, 57 percent of the customs revenue in Morocco emanated from value-added tax (VAT), similar to the contribution received in the previous year. Moreover, domestic consumption tax accounted for 32 percent of the country's customs revenue as of the same year, slightly against the 31 percent in 2019. Overall, Morocco registered a customs revenue of 91.3 billion Moroccan dirhams, around 10.3 billion U.S. dollars, in 2020.
