Monthly revenue of hotels in Brazil 2019-2020
Due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the monthly revenue generated by hotels and similar establishments in Brazil dropped significantly in April 2020, reaching only 430 million Brazilian reals. Between May and August 2020, this industry's revenue showed a moderate but steady recovery, eventually bouncing back to over 1.5 billion Brazilian reals in September of that year. However, this still represented a decline of over 30 percent compared to the same month of 2019.
