Breakdown of VAT revenues on energy in Morocco 2020, by product
As of 2020, Morocco registered a value-added tax (VAT) revenue on energy products that reached around 7.3 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD), roughly 825.2 million U.S. dollars. Among the products, gasoil and coal were the leading generators of revenue, as they contributed approximately 3.2 billion MAD and 1.3 billion MAD (roughly 361.7 and 147 million U.S. dollars) to the overall value, respectively.
