
Export value of pearls, precious stones and metals from South Africa 2015-2019
In 2019, the export value of pearls, precious stones and metals amounted to an approximate value of 15 billion U.S. dollars from South Africa. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 16 billion U.S. dollars of the products were exported. Furthermore, Japan was one of the main trade partners of South Africa in terms of pearl, precious stone and metal exports with a share of just over 15 percent.
