LCOE per kilowatt hour of PV systems Japan 2020-2050
In 2020, the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of photovoltaic systems stood at 11 Japanese yen per kilowatt hour. Figures were estimated to decrease down to around 3.6 yen in 2050. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Japanese government made investments in renewables such as solar energy a priority.
