Distribution of seasonal migrant workers in Libya 2020, by educational level
Most seasonal migrant workers in Libya had achieved the primary education level or lower as of 2020. In fact, 23 percent of them never attended school, while 21 percent completed primary education. A significant 26 percent of the seasonal migrant workers in the country, on the other hand, had a high school degree or higher. These migrants are involved in circular migration, meaning that they move regularly from the home to the host country - Libya in this case - for employment purposes.
