Aizawl district in the eastern Indian state of Mizoram had the highest age adjusted incidence rate of registered cancer cases among male of over 269 cases per million male adult between the years 2012 and 2016.

Population Based Cancer Registries (PBCRs) provides cancer incidence rates, compares cancer incidences and patterns across other registries including different subgroups of populations in the respective areas.

Age-adjusted rates is a cacluation made to afford fairer comparisons between groups with different age distributions. For instance, in a population, the age-adjusted rates for the sample under study would have the same age distribution as the standard populaiton.
