Annual electricity generation in Tanzania 2015-2019
Electricity generation in Tanzania reached some 7,636 million kilowatt hours in 2019. The domestic production increased from 7,308 million kilowatt hours in the previous year. Thermal energy, followed by hydropower, is the main source of electricity generation in the country.
