Import value of pearls, precious stones and metals into South Africa 2015-2019
In 2019, the import of pearls, precious stones and metals into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 1.13 billion U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 1.17 billion U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, Namibia was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning pearl, precious stone and metal imports with a share of just over 31.6 percent.
