Import value of vehicles into South Africa 2015-2020
In 2020, the import of vehicles other than railway into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 4.39 billion U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year when roughly seven billion U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, Germany was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning vehicle imports with a share of just over 18 percent.
