Cost increase for selected European transport infrastructure projects 2018-2019

In 2019, the Lyon-Turin rail link was the transport infrastructure project in Europe experiencing the steepest rise in overall costs. With an increase of over 4.4 billion euros, it dwarfed all other projects. The Seine-Scheldt link was second, the project's expenses climbing by 3.3 billion euros.
