E-commerce use among businesses in Japan 2020, by sales type
According to a survey conducted in 2020 in Japan, 73 percent of businesses engaged in e-commerce were selling in the domestic market. While 65 percent were distributing their products overseas, the preferred method was through cross-border e-commerce by selling from Japan to international customers.
