Latin America: edtech startups' barriers for capital raising 2021
According to a 2021 survey, over 70 percent of responding edtech startup executives in Latin America reported that one of the barriers to raising capital was that the education sector itself was challenging. Moreover, more survey participants found that securing capital from international investors was more difficult than doing so through local investors. Around 14 percent of the survey participants also believed the COVID-19 pandemic introduced additional barriers to capital raising.
