Container technology adoption by companies in Russia 2020
Nearly 70 percent of surveyed companies in Russia reported using container technology in production or test environments in 2020. Furthermore, nine percent had plans on using containers in the future. In software development, container technology refers to the method of packaging an application in a container. This decouples the software from the environment it runs on, making it possible to move it efficiently between different environments. As Russian companies only started adopting it recently, most businesses had less than one fifth of their apps employing container technology.
