Electricity generation from coal saw the highest absolute growth in 2021, increasing by approximately 827.6 terawatt hours compared to 2020. Wind and solar sources recorded a growth of more than 415 terawatt hours, which translated to a relative year-over-year growth of more than 17 percent.
