European rail freight load factor in key countries 2020
Latvia was the country with the highest freight load factor in Europe in 2020, hauling around 1,700 tonne-kilometers per freight train-kilometer. The country was followed by Lithuania and Estonia, at around 1,600 and just under 1,400 tonne-kilometers respectively. By contrast, the European average load factor stood at some 556 tonne-kilometers.
